2015 Potts Indoor Invite

Good times were posted all around as Denver Track Club shut down the Balch Fieldhouse during it’s final NCAA meet.
The meet was opened up with Badger 60m who placed 12th overall.
Next up was Willett and LePage in the mile. Going out conservatively our guys ran intelligently and executed their races as planned. Most notable is Willett who overtook CSM’s Patrick Weaver in a sprint for the win! Willett clocked an impressive early-season 4:22 in the mile at Balch Fieldhouse!
Rennick, Testing his fitness for the 800m, Rennick ran a strong 400m placing in 9th overall!
Also testing his fitness was Sanders who placed 7th overall!
Not to be outdone by Willet’s 4:22, LePage exploded from the start line and opened up a gap so big that there was no hope of anyone catching him in the race. DTC also took second place with Christoff holding his position against an aggressive Boulder Track Club runner. Tired from his hard effort in the mile, Willett placed 5th overall…
The plan was for Willett and LePage to run this race at 80% while focusing on form, but was turned into a tie breaker–thanks to Sanders’ trash talk. lol Coming off of turn one, and going faster than hell, we knew that these guys weren’t going to take this one easy. They both finished their 200m in 24 seconds, which was on par with the fastest sprinters at the meet–Incredible!!!

Quicker Quaker 5k:
Congrats to coach Simmons who placed 5th overall with a time of 14:44 as well as Dan Spale who placed 15th with a 15:40! Now that is smoking fast!

Great job DTC!!!!!!!IMG_7510
